What happened was it directed to the default Apache Web page on that node. So, when lookup on nodes than did not alllow incoming connection, nothing happens.N6TBQ

David,
I noticed that simpleusb-tune-menu option N tells you  "Enter new
rxaudiodelay setting (0-26, or C/R for none):"  but 25 seems to be the
largest value it will take.

try somewhere between 4 and 6.

1 = 20 ms.

I was just trying to let David know there was an error in the message that
option N gives.  It states you can enter a value of 1-26.  It will only
accept a value of 1-25.  I was just trying different values it see if I
could eliminate the squelch tail on a Motorola MTR2000.  I have my setting
at 5 but even at higher values I could not completely eliminate the squelch
tail.

Interesting...

Using a Motorola Radius SM50 as a simplex node, I didn't have to change
the rxaudiodelay value at all. The radio was so fast that even with no
delay at all, I didn't get a squelch tail. I've had to adjust this value
with pretty much every other radio I've ever used, though.

Yes, I can also confirm that the value 26 doesn't work. AI spotted this
a long time ago (sometime in 2019) but never really thought much of it,
since that's a very long delay that I would probably never need.

Thanks for point out this bug, it was a typo in the simpleusb_tune_menu
program. I've fixed this for release in the next code update.

The values 0 thru 25, inclusive, were the original intended range for this
parameter.

Has anyone had any luck loading the noip linux client on the pi?

Hi Rich,

Typically, neither NoIP nor any other dynamic DNS server is really needed.

If your node registers with ASL or HamVoIP, dynamic DNS service is
automatically provided by HamVoIP (and others). Once your node is
registering, your IP can be found at this URL:

<node number>.ip.hamvoip.org

So, for example, if my node number is 23456, the URL would be:

23456.ip.hamvoip.org

Note that if your IP address dynamically changes, once your node
registration updates, this DNS info will updated within about 1 minute or
less.
