You can leave the audio connected to the discriminator. The audio will only be used when needed, as determined by the Squelch circuit. Having audio provided all the time should not be a problem.

Hello,
Not sure if I am sending to the right spot or not but here goes.?
I am running 2 kenwood tk-860 G?s as a repeater and the ctcss on them just mutes locally but still sends the audio through the discriminator and to allstar l.?
I?ve seen a few things about ctcss tones with allstar and just looking for some guidance on the subject.?
Best,Matt - ke0ncp?
