The latest release is 4.2 from earlier this spring. 4.0 was released at
Christmas 2020 and while it was in development for around two years or
longer, despite the incomplete copyright date, the version you're
running is much more recent than nine years. Recent Git snapshots
include the Git SHA1 of the commit so the developers can pinpoint the
time the snapshot was made.
Can you try the latest release on another computer with your radio to be
sure the bug doesn't exist in the current code? An issue on the Hamlib
GitHub issue tracker or message to the Hamlib developer mailing list
will get the attention of Mike, W9MDB, who is doing most of the
development these days.
