[arm-allstar] New node connection problem. Insight needed.

Hello All,
I have two nodes on separate pi4Bs with one working fine with respect to connecting to other nodes and the other not working. Other than the type of internet connections of the nodes, I don´t know of any material difference in setup. The new node is using the wireless option for connection to an iphone hotspot. I am operating with the understanding that even without port forwarding I should be able to get this new node to connect to other nodes.
I found two of the scripts via the hamvoip forum that others have recommended running. These being check_connect.sh and check_reg.sh. I ran these scripts and the results seem to confirm that the old node should work(which it does), and the new node should not (it is not receiving DNS lookup returns). I have copied the results of the scripts runs for each of the two nodes below.

I have two specific questions that I would really like to find the answers to. I would greatly appreciate getting pointed in the right direction.

Question 1: What if any value/meaning is there in seeing a node labelled as “registered” in my node portal on the allstarlink.org site, or in seeing that a node is “registered” when running the check_reg.sh script? Is it possible to be “registered” and not receiving DNS lookup returns? If so, how? Is it possible the site and script to indicate that a node is registered, but it is in fact not? If so, how?

Question 2: What are my next steps in debugging this? Based only on the answer to the debugging fundamental question of “what changed from working scenario to broken scenario?”, I suspect that using my iphone hotspot as the internet source could be causing issues. I´ve seen people in forums talk about using open vpn for mobile hotspot connected nodes, and I´ve seen some people on forums say that´s absolutely not needed as long as you don´t need to connect into a node with an app like voiper or DVswitch. How do I find root cause as to why DNS lookups are failing? Registration problem, vs connection problem, vs. some other problem… I have seen that registration issues have been a problem and that David has worked hard to provide a registration avenue via havoip, but I don´t understand enough at this point to know if it´s a reg problem, or what to do if it´s not.
