[arm-allstar] Looking for help with IAXRPT Receive Turn Around

I only use my IAXRPT client when I am away from home on extended periods. I am getting ready to leave on a vacation. While testing my IAXRPT client I notice that it does not return to receiving audio until the repeater drops carrier. I have a Hamvoip image on a Pi with RA70 sound board. The sound card is connected to a transceiver which is setup for my local repeater. When I inky with IAXRPT the radio immediately unkeys and I will hear the repeater id or if I am in QSO I hear the other person over the radio speaker but not the IAXRPT client until the repeater drops carrier.

I have tried setting the IAXRPT client to simplex. 
I have tried changing the duplex setting in rpt.conf to 1. I prefer 0.

Are there any other settings I should be adjusting.
