Hi Rich,
Thank you again. I did have Supermon set up. I set PL on the Alinco as a good practice. I finally got it to work in Parrot Mode in the Control button dropdown menu. I went into the Configuration Editor and then into the SimpleUSB-Tune-Control section and changed the COS from "USB-invert" to "USB". After I did that the PTT didn't hang. I then connected to a node and made a successful contact. They reported my audio was a little hot. I am quite sure I have to make more adjustments to the simpleusb.conf file. I know you have a different radio, as I mentioned I have and Alinco 435T with the Repeater-Builder RIM-Lite card, I have attached the screen shot of my current settings. I am trying to find recommended settings for this radio and card.
Thanks,
Peter

You can do a one time parrot by entering *A9. or if yo have set up supermon, you can enable it by clicking on the control button and selecting parrot. If you do not have supermon set up,.. I would recommend it. It gives you a good picture of how your node it behaving and access to alot of information. You will be able to see PTT and COS in real time... PL - I was talking about your PL decode on your alinco radio. If your COS line keys without the need for PL in your radio, it can trigger your COS without you actually hearing anything through your speaker. I thing the Alinco in notorious for that. I use Motorola GM300's or CDM radios for link radios. Best, Rich, WA2ZPX

If it is only COS, you will see keyup on noise and interference.3) PTT Lockup.. Are you sure you have the right setting for COS in the simpleUSB menu?

The Alinco is in Simplex mode on low power on 446.50 and I get the periodic announcements from the Raspberry Pi on an HT tuned to the same frequency as well as on the Alinco. I can connect / disconnect to remote nodes using the Asterisk command line: "rpt fun 54265 *73<node>" or "rpt fun 54265 *73<node>".

However, I did receive an email from an admin stating: Your node Periodically is locking up a ptt. Your your node is getting interference making it key up? Please use a pl tone on your receive and or Resolve the issue." I think that person blocked me from trying to reconnect to that node.

I wish there was an Allstar testing location / node such as exists for Skype where you can connect to an Allstar test number/node and it plays back your audio a few seconds later so you could hear what your audio sounds like to adjust it.
