Peter, A couple of things (from my perspective). 1) Did you try going into parrot mode and listen to what you sound like coming back? 2) Are you sure that your COS source is giving to COS keyed with COS and PL? If it is only COS, you will see keyup on noise and interference.3) PTT Lockup.. Are you sure you have the right setting for COS in the simpleUSB menu?

The Alinco is in Simplex mode on low power on 446.50 and I get the periodic announcements from the Raspberry Pi on an HT tuned to the same frequency as well as on the Alinco. I can connect / disconnect to remote nodes using the Asterisk command line: "rpt fun 54265 *73<node>" or "rpt fun 54265 *73<node>".

However, I did receive an email from an admin stating: Your node Periodically is locking up a ptt. Your your node is getting interference making it key up? Please use a pl tone on your receive and or Resolve the issue." I think that person blocked me from trying to reconnect to that node.

I wish there was an Allstar testing location / node such as exists for Skype where you can connect to an Allstar test number/node and it plays back your audio a few seconds later so you could hear what your audio sounds like to adjust it.
