Bob,
There should be a file "/boot/kernel7.img" in the HamVoIP firmware 
image...There is no kernel.img file.
Exactly what model (and age) RPi boards are you trying to use?  What type 
and size SD cards?

Allstar version booting? When I create the sd card the Pi flashes 
indicating âno kernel image foundâ. I tried several times creating 
the card on both the linux and windows boxes. I checked the card after 
imaging and indeed there is no kernel.img file in /boot. If I create a 
standard issue raspbian card it works first time, no issues. This same 7 flashes occurs on Pi 2âs version  1 and 2. 
Is there a flaw in the image?
