No, don't check the remote base selection!
Remote Base mode is a special setting which tells nodes that the simplex
radio has special properties---like being frequency agile, allowing only ONE
connection at a time, etc. On top of this, remote base mode is still very
buggy and crash-prone and has been since the first time I used AllStar, over
a decade ago.
In an forthcoming software release, I have entirely removes all this old
code from HamVoIP. It is being replaced by upgraded tools that use hamlib.
So, again DO NOT check the remote base check box on the www.allstarlink.org
website for your node!
