Here is more debug info, for your testing. In you local rpt.conf node
stanza, [51046], make sure you have the parameter: telemdefault=1
That will turn on all telemetry announcements. Then, from the Asterisk
CLI, try connecting. Here is an example where I'm trying to connect to
2585. My node isn't in the downloaded ASL rpt nodelist, so, it fails to
connect:

Notice that the call was initially accepted by 2585 (Call accepted by
198.211.100.73) and then dropped, due to authentication failure.
