[arm-allstar] Local Monitor on Supermon 6.2

Can someone tell me the functional difference between  Monitor  and  Local
Monitor  on  Supermon.
I cannot see any difference in the Bubble Chart.  I do with lsNodes,
however.
For example:   I am on supermon on my simplex node 52080.
I enter node 493670 in the box and click on the Local Monitor button.
lsNodes will show me only 52080 and 493670.  However the bubble chart shows
me both those, plus the other nodes that are connected to 493670, e.g.
40262.
And I also hear traffic from 40262.  I had expected to only hear
transmissions from 493670.
I am confused on the purpose and function of Local Monitor.
