>From a Linux prompt:

asterisk -rx "rpt lstats 12345"

Where 12345 is your allstar node number. Include the quotes.
The results will be this:

NODE PEER RECONNECTS DIRECTION CONNECT TIME CONNECT STATE
---- ---- ---------- --------- ------------ -------------

XXXXX will be the node number you're connected to.

If you're not connected, the output will be:
NODE PEER RECONNECTS DIRECTION CONNECT TIME CONNECT STATE

Subject: [arm-allstar] New User with One Basic Problem

I have an Allstarlink server and node number, and a Pi 4B, up to date as of three days ago, which has been set up to the best of my knowledge.
It is connected to a Kenwood TM-D700A via a URICables cable and a Techno by George fob. I had the option of purchasing the fob with or without eprom, I chose without. I've gone through everything there is to go through on the Pi, the flash test works with tone, but from all appearances, I am not connected to the Allstarlink server. How can I verify that connection status please?
