That FOB cannot have an eeprom but you do not need one. Very few if any
FOBS are used with the eeproms as they are not necessary.
You need to make sure you are registered. At the main menu go into the bash
script - linux prompt - and run the script check_reg.sh - this should show
you are registered. If it does not there could be a number of reasons why.
You entered the wrong node password - look in iax.conf for registration
line and check the password
If it is correct it is possible there is a problem at the registration
server. In that case it would be best to get a hamvoip registration. Send
me your node number and I will get you one.
If your node is registering then you should be able to connect out. Make
sure your levels are correct in simpleusb-tune-menu. In item 2 the bar
graph should go up to 5-6 khz on peaks when you talk to your node. You can
also turn on the echo mode - item C and talk and hear yourself back.
Then go back to the main menu and select the Asterisk client. In that mode
you should be able to transmit and hit each DTMF key and see it displayed
on the screen.
If all that checks out then you should be able to connect somewhere using
