[arm-allstar] Frequency agile remote base

I have two TM-V7A's with bad displays. Rather than take the HAMLIB
approach, I use a program called RCV7 that allows you to do some control
of your TM-V7A using your PC and a USB to serial programming cable made
for the TM-V7A. I built my own but they are available on ebay. I just
program the TM-V7A for the frequency, CTCSS power level, etc that I want
and then turn the radio off and unplug the cable. The TM-V7A remembers
your settings when power is shut off. I then plug my URI (in my case,
that is a DINAH) to use the radio for Allstar. I have placed a copy of
the program in the Files folder of the DINAH group
www.groups.io/g/dinah/files <www.groups.io/g/shari/files>.

When I make the cable and all that good stuff will I have to basically build another node minus the simplex radio and then connect my current node to it to be able to controll it?
