Yes, you can make customized ID's several ways, including recording your
own file with a completely custom announcement, etc. Here is one way to
make a custom ID, using the pre-supplied audio clips. From a bash command
prompt, try:
cd /var/lib/asterisk/sounds
cat letters/n.gsm letters/p.gsm digits/4.gsm letters/p.gsm letters/c.gsm repeater.gsm > /etc/asterisk/local/node-id.gsm
....Then, in your /etc/asterisk/rpt.conf node stanza, add/enable the
statement:
idrecording=/etc/asterisk/local/node-id
Take a look through the /var/lib/asterisk/sounds folder and sub-folders.
There are a lot of short audio clips there. On a side note, we've also
got a library of French audio clips in the hamvoip-var-lib-asterisk-fr
package. We haven't yet gotten any Spanish clips. To install the French
clips:
pacman -Sy hamvoip-var-lib-asterisk-fr
