Stan
On occasion I have the same problem with putty on windows 10. However,
I used Fetch on my Mac's and I’m in like flint. Fetch works every time.
I also use Termius on the Mac Pro, MacBook Pro and my iPad to do all the other stuff and never have a problem.
Yep sometimes I get lucky with putty but my Macs work every time. Try giving those apps a try.

Our internet is a beam shot from my neighbors house through the trees to ours. He supplies a few houses like that. From town, the beam is shot to his house. Rural living at its best.

I have Putty, Kitty and all that. Okay, open up Putty and enter 222 for the port number and !!!!.106 for the address. Terminal box comes up and after a while a box comes up and says Putty Failure, connection timed out. (Sigh)?
