[arm-allstar] Inactivity Timeout Message

Good Morning Doug,

2 more questions without going custom just yet:

1. Can ulaw, pcm, and/or gsm files be combined with the "cat" method? The first one I tried sounds like gibberish when played through VLC player.

2. Can I stack messages in rpt.conf for the lnkacttimerwarn= command? If so, what syntax would I need to add?

/var/lib/asterisk/sounds rpt/act-timeout-warning.ulaw 
/var/lib/asterisk/sounds/digits/30.gsm
/var/lib/asterisk/sounds/seconds.gsm

Not sure what you are wanting to do but there is a 30.gsm and a seconds.gsm.  Combining them would give the voice 30 seconds.  There is also two timeout message in ulaw

To combine two like formats (gsm works fine) just use cat...

cat /var/lib/asterisk/sounds/digits/30.gsm
/var/lib/asterisk/sounds/seconds.gsm > 30seconds.gsm

creating a new file with the combined sounds.

# locate 30.gsm
/var/lib/asterisk/sounds/digits/30.gsm

# locate seconds.gsm
/var/lib/asterisk/sounds/seconds.gsm

/var/lib/asterisk/sounds/rpt/timeout-warning.ulaw
/var/lib/asterisk/sounds/rpt/timeout.ulaw

For custom voice you have many options. See the tts howto at the hamvoip.org web page.
