[arm-allstar] 3G Dongle with Hamvoip on PI

Hi, Richard. I ran a proof of concept test on a Pi 2 a couple of years ago with a 3G USB stick plugged directly into the Pi, without any external router. I forget which version I used, Hamvoip or ASL, but the Pi recognized my stick (not a ZTE) and configured it for service. My experience was painless, YMMV.
I’ve not used this configuration since then, but it worked when I did.
Here in the US, 3G networks are being turned down over the next few years, so I tested it with a 4GLTE stick as well. Same easy peasy results.
I have not used this method for mobile operation, but need to, as my router that accepts a USB cellular modem only does 3G.
tnx
