Something for folks to consider if they are troubled by static ip
addresses, their cost from the provider and any other solutions.

Domain [example : imaham.com]

Registered and acquired domain hosting only (no www/ftp/email/etc) for my
domain with GoDaddy , imaham.com.
Domain - initial purchase and then 15.00 / year

Create an A record for home.imaham.com to point to my home ip address [wan
ip of the router, http://ipecho.net/plain] using the GoDaddy dns management
portal.

Use a linux system in my office [perhaps a RPi with a node running on it]
to check my ip address log into the GoDaddy dns interface and update the A
record every 5 hours.

 HOWTO :

I offer no warranties, however I can attest that this has worked quite well
for my business for the past several years.

Hope this helps someone.
