Vendel,
The problem with the wifi is most like that you need the extra package
because you are using a third party wifi adapter. The current release does
not inlcude all the extra packages which take up a great deal of space and
include files that are useless to most. I am surprised at the number of
people who are running older WIFI and not the Pi 3B or 3B+ To download
the extra package do this at the Linux prompt -
pacman -Syu linux-firmware-hamvoip-extra
This should fix your wifi if it was working before the update.
As for the motorboating, I doubt that has anything to do with the update.
Did you try rebooting or resetting asterisk?
