Yes, the google drive has been removed because it was no longer functional.
Google removed authorization for the app which is no longer supported.

In discussions with Dave and observations of available FREE services it
appears there is really no good replacement. We also discussed the
possibility of there being a Hamvoip backup option but also put that on the
back burner,

There are many ways to backup your Hamvoip system using the file-backup
andfile-restore scripts that are currently available on the system. The
easiest way is to install a USB stick and make backups to there. You also
could backup to a remote Linux system fairly easily. Also the need for
constant backups is really not necessary assuming you are not making some
massive change to your code. Backing up once a week is really way overkill.
