I hope someone might be able to help me with programming a Motorola Spectra
using dosbox within hamvoip. I use it often to programs my Maxtracs but for
some reason I cant get it to program a Spectra. The differences are that I
have to use a rib box because I cant find a rib-less cable for the Spectra.
The cable I use is one I built using the information at
http://www.repeater-builder.com/motorola/spectra/spectra-prgm-cable.html .
I have tested and used the rib box on another radio that was a Windows base
program but without using a serial to usb adapter. My setup will connect to
the radio and go tn to programming mode, but kicks back an error. ( serial
bus failure: protocol error) I'm lost on were to go from hear.
