[arm-allstar] Motorola Radio

The Motorola CDM series are in a sweet spot for price vs. features and ease of use. The programming software can run on any version of Windows. They also support reverse burst from the PTT input alone, so you don't need full DSP (USBRadio) to do it, it works with SimpleUSB.

Not sure about the GM300, but with the Maxtrac & Radius when they are used
outside 150 to 174 mhz & 449 to 470 mhz range need to have the output power
turned down. The auto power control only works when the radio is used in
the 150 to 174 mhz & 449 to 470 mhz. The mod is on Repeater Builders. You
could also get a radio which has a bad final and replace the final
transistor with a mini variable cap tuning for max power output about 2
watts. Another idea, considerably more money, is use an Alinco which has a
DB9 with all the needed connections. Just an idea. I've used both.
