well doug,
my transceiver is always connected at the Pi,,so it should tx , the node is working no1 except this and other thing but less important.
i have nothing,no sound,,no tx without audio,,nothing.
i will check flowwing the path you gave me

Gervais,
The announcement of the IP address is ON by default so unless you turned
it off you should be hearing it. It plays through the first nodes radio
which of course must be on at boot to hear it. It is enabled (default) or
disabled in the /usr/local/etc/allstar.env file.
