[arm-allstar] 60 second noise burst

Hello Doug,
I have been using AllStar nodes for a few years now and recently converted one that is using an Advanced Repeater System (ARS) usb adapter from an image by K5ENB to HamVoip. When I use the Hamvoip image, all works well except that I experience a short noise burst every 60 seconds. The timing is exactly when the 10 minute ID is transmitted. The short burst triggers any nodes that I am connected to and is annoying to users.
I have tried to eliminate possible h/w causes. I even get the burst when the adapter is NOT connected to a radio. The ARS adapter plugs directly into the usb port of the RPi so that's not the source. I have put ferrite cores on all leads and run the system off a battery. There is no evidence of bursts when I use the ARS adapter with the K5ENB image.
I wondered if there is a parameter that allows me to turn off the timer that triggers the ID? Any other thoughts?
TIA … Tom VE3NY
