Sorry to hear about your cable woes. Hopefully they can repair it.

I would add that the kernel message you are getting is innocuous assuming
it does not cause any issues with Allstar. In that case just ignore it. The
problem is that running more than two busy nodes on a Pi can cause audio
glitches. We have made some substantial efficiency increases in the code
over the last year so it is possible there has been improvement when using
multiple nodes. We haven't tested that lately. There will be substantially
more improvements in the future so the outlook for multiple nodes on a
server is definitely improving.

I still stand by my statement of redundancy though. It you were to have
multiple repeaters running on one Pi as a controller it would mean they all
would go down with the failure of one SD card or one Pi or one power
supply. This obviously would not be a good thing and it would be worth the
extra money to avoid it.
