Dave has updated hamvoip-asterisk package to Version:
1.4.23-pre.hamvoip-V1.5.3-32-app_rpt-0.327-05/27/2018
Use the ADMIN menu item 1 to update.
Please note that the prior update included a kernel update. Since all
hamvoip updates are rolling updates you will receive all prior updates you
have missed. The prior kernel update will take a little longer and also
requires a system reboot. If you have not already received please be
patient and wait for it to complete. If you are already at kernel version
4.14.31-1-ARCH then you have already installed the kernel update.
NEW Features in this update
Added new high-performance FIR digital filters to the chan_simpleusb
driver. The new high-pass filter is labeled DCSfilter in
simpleusb-tune-menu and is item Q in the list. It provides a brick-wall
filter with audio below 300Hz down 50dB. This filter can be used in lieu of
the PL filter for additional low end filtering. This is especially helpful
when using digitally coded squelch (DCS) The old PL filter has been left in
but in most cases the new DCS filter is useful for both PL and DCS.
Also added is a new brick-wall low-pass filter. Its corner frequency is at
3.5KHz, with -50dB at 4KHz. This filter is always on and adds the most
fidelity that you can get at an 8Khz sample rate.

Modified safe_asterisk script to positively clean up after an asterisk
crash. The eliminates the asterisk.ctl file being left behind and causing a
subsequent restart of Asterisk to fail.
New script sayreg.sh which verbally indicates AllStar registration status.
This is especially useful in headless or portable operation where you could
use a DTMF sequence to call this script to tell you if you are registered.
New script check_connect.sh checks Internet and DNS connection to key sites
in the Allstar system and lets you know if they are reachable.
