I would think the radio would get hot wrapped like this but if you are not experiencing heat issues then I suppose it is ok. I've found the best way in my applications to minimize/eliminate RF interference is to get the node antenna located away from the node. Chris - W6CS- 73.

This shows the radio wrapped in IR blocker. It’s non conductive despite it’s silver color. The beige paper is wrapped around the sound card to keep it from shorting on anything inside the case.
