There is also a header in all messages for clients that support filtering on Headers.

Subject: [arm-allstar] List Subscription Tip
If you are a hamvoip user this list is an important source of information
but I notice when ever there is a lot of traffic on this list we have a few
unsubscribe. It is normal for subscribers to come and go depending on their
interest but I think some don't want the messages filling up their
mailboxes. There is a way around that as most mail clients allow you to
apply filters to direct messages to a specific folder. You could create a
folder called arm-allstar and then direct all traffic from this list to it.
Gmail does this very well but other clients would also. All messages from
this list have [arm-allstar] in the subject line. If you filter on that
text in the subject line and direct it to a folder the mail from this list
will not appear in your inbox with other personal mail.
