[arm-allstar] Connecting to another node

He needs to forward the IAX port on the server he wants you to connect on -
the one that has the node you are connecting on. The port is listed as the
bindport in iax.conf or just do  dns-query node#  at the linux prompt and
look for the port number after thr IP address and colon. The port is
forwarded UDP to the local IP address of the Allstar server.

If you both have teamviewer you could look at and configure his router from
your location.
