Ron,
netmask is usually 255.255.255.0 if that is what you are asking. But I
suggest you leave the Pi at DHCP and reserve the router assigned address in
the router. Most all routers allow you to do that. Then that assigned
address will always be the same for that Pi. Then you can port forward to
that address.
The DHCP reserved IP address is tied to the MAC (machine) address of the Pi
so even if you put another OS on it it would be assigned the same address.
Note however that the MAC address for wired and wireless is different. You
need to decide on one or the other in your local LAN. If you switch from
wired to wireless it will issue a different IP address.
