Larry,

Make sure that you've got a wired Ethernet connection when you first boot.
Then, MAKE CERTAIN to Retrieve the latest system updates as the first
step.

Once this step is complete, you should be fine from that point forward.

Using a monitor, HDMI interface and USP keyboard, with two known good microSD cards, two known good Raspberry Pi 3b (not the +), countless reflashs with two different image writers, many fresh downloads from the Hamvoip.org site, I cannot get the image to function as I would expect and certainly not as I previously experienced with my existing node. Upon entry, I am asked for an ID and password then immediately directed to the script asking if I want to do an initial configuration. If I respond with ‘No’, I am returned to the display requesting a sign on. No matter what known good ID and password I enter, the display briefly flashes some lines of text and returns to the sign-on request. Following a re-flash, if I choose to proceed with the initial script, all goes well until such time as I opt to leave the configuration process. Again, instead of an OS prompt, I am
asked for an ID and password and again get the flash display and a return to the sign-on request. Am I missing something or is the image corrupted?
