Sean,

 I think what you are asking is can you have specific nodes be announced
and not others. The answer is no. The choices are:

telemdefault=0   ; no announcement
telemdefault=1   ; Announce all
telemdefault=2   ; Announce only local connects/disconnects  then mute
after 1 minute
