Robert,

Go into the Asterisk client - admin menu item 12 - type in

echolink dbdump

if a bunch of nodes stream by you have echolink running. Then try -

echolink dbget c <call>

where <call> is your call in uppercase including any -R or -L if you are
using that and no < or >

example -

echolink dbget c W3XYZ

you can also use the node number -

echolink dbget n 9999

9999|*ECHOTEST*|204.236.179.116

or IP address

echolink dbget i 204.236.179.116

9999|*ECHOTEST*|204.236.179.116

substitute your call or node number and see if you are in the database.

You should occasionally see the following messages in the client -

-- Received OK from Echolink server server3.echolink.org
    -- Directory pgm done downloading(partial,compressed), 442 records

The server and number of records would differ.

Remember you can only have ONE echolink setup per public IP. So if you have
it running on Allstar you can't run it on another computer. The best way to
test is to set it up on a smartphone. Then connect to yourself with the
phone using cell Internet NOT ON WIFI! In this case you would need to setup
another call for Allstar. If you call was W3XYZ then the phone would be
W3XYZ and your Allstar echolink W3XYZ-L.

Also read the echolink howto at hamvoip.org.
