Aha! Doug, you're full of all sorts of... useful information... :)
I went and checked - all of my /usr/local/bin/AUTOSKY/AutoSky.ini files were setup to look at Pennsylvania...? Every single one of them... They didn't used to be!
So I went out and checked on my external nodes scattered around several counties that I had gone around and recently updated... Every single one of them was now shouting out weather warnings for Pennsylvania... Not our local Texas Counties...
Going in there and running that URL through my browser told me what's going on - THANKS! It's not icy here - we are suffering through 60-75 degree temps in the middle of winter... (oh, the horror!)
Now I have gone through and updated all those repeaters in far flung places... And maybe my scanner won't make it sound like the apocalypse is coming... I didn't know I was going to have to go through and re-edit all those config files, after the recent round of updates... No big deal, really, I just had no idea...
It's fixed now! Thanks!

Special Weather statements are just that - statements that don't fit into other categories. I suggest you get the URL used in AutoSky.ini Ofile= and check the alerts for your area by executing it directly on the web to see what the statement actually is. There are so many different and mostly minor statements it would be impossible to cover them all. Here is one issued for me right now -
Current Watches, Warnings and Advisories for Bucks (PAC017) Pennsylvania Issued by the National Weather Service
Special Weather Statement issued February 02 at 3:53AM EST by NWS
February 2, 2018, 3:53 AM
...ICY CONDITIONS FOR THE MORNING COMMUTE... Icy conditions have been reported on area roads, and will continue to be possible especially on untreated roads and bridges through the morning commute. Although the precipitation is winding down from west to east, standing water from the earlier rain may freeze as temperatures continue to drop through the day.

Hello All, Has anyone noticed an issue with the Skywarn alerts since the latest update? At the top of the hour when it ID's, gives the time and temperature it sometimes announces "Update Special Weather Statement". It does not seem to be every hour, maybe every other hour or so. I live in Las Vegas we do not get a lot of these, mostly wind or excessive heat or flood in summer. It worked great until I ran the update Tuesday morning, now I get the messages now and then. It is a personal node so it is not being broadcast on a repeater but I was wondering if something changed with the update. Thanks for any info you can assist with.
