RF effects is a world in itself, and dangerous.
reminds me of a radio site where i add an APRS node and so much interference INSIDE the building from divers equipments like microwaves links that
i imagined a simple solution too shield my equipments,i baught an old micro-wave oven and installed my radio, tnc and power supply inside it,add a fan and bingo it worked no 1.
the tech were always surprised too see my microwave oven in the bay!!! 😊
i dont think that the TYT or the PI loved the rf fields effect that you add.

Indoor antennas especially running 5W or more can cause issues. First of
all most antennas were designed to have a ground plane which they often do
not have inside. Also inside antennas often have considerable SWR so there
is radiation not just from the antenna but also from the transmission line
and back to the emitter. You might be able to solve your problem with
ferrites on the leads. The USB and audio leads from the URI even the coax
to the antenna. Also wrapping the leads in a tight circle and not leaving
long lengths to act as receive antennas is suggested.
