Chris,

  Make sure your

rxchannel=SimpleUSB/usb

is correct for BOTH nodes in rpt.conf. The /usb should match the name of
the stanza in simpleusb.conf for the radio you want to connect to. So if
the first node is  usb  and the second is usb2  in simpleusb.conf  then the
rxchannel needs to match those for the respective nodes.
