[arm-allstar] ASL Registration system down this morning

Bryan,

The hamvoip registration system when fully functional will be the primary
source for node routing information for hamvoip users with the ASL server
as secondary. If they go down we will still be online. We have the majority
of users so it won't be a big problem if they do but yes you are right
anyone that is just registered with ASL you would not be able to connect
to. We will be offering access to our servers for non-hamvoip users but
whether they accept that is up to them. hamvoip users will for now dual
register - hamvoip and ASL.

As of right now anyone that does an update is using the hamvoip node
database. When we bring the registration server totally online your hamvoip
registration will go into the hamvoip node database and be totally
independent of the ASL database. Once this happens connections time for
hamvoip users will be immediate even at boot. We will also use your
iax.conf port information so there will be no need to select a port at
allstarlink.org for the hamvoip system.

Much more information on the entire hamvoip server system will be
forthcoming.
