I figured this out today.
In the instructions you were to change your extensions.conf file as follows:
*[myphonezoiper] ; you may use a different name
hereexten=xxxxx,1,rpt(xxxx|Pv)exten=xxxxx,1,rpt(xxxx|Pv)*
What I had to do, to stop the locked PTT was to remove the 'Pv' and use 'P'
Mine looks like:
*[myphonezoiper]exten=xxxxx,1,rpt(xxxx|P)exten=xxxxx,1,rpt(xxxx|P)*
Now, when connecting, I do not keyup. I use *99 to TX and # to unkey.
This seems to only be true for MAC CLIENT Zoiper version 5. With Windows
(or iPhone) client, you keep the "Pv" and the mute button will be your PTT.
If you are using iPhone Zoiper, make sure you have the "Pv" line, it
shouldn't lock PTT for you.
