Thanks for the suggestion. I will try inverting the signal. In the meantime, I hooked it with the RIM-LITE this weekend and it has been running with no issues.

Are you running PTT active high? I found the same problem. I ended up going ‘by the book’ and inverting the signal with a transistor, but while running PTT high, yes, kicking off any transmit during startup kicked things back in order. There’s a startup_macro option in rpt.conf.
