[arm-allstar] arm-allstar Digest, Vol 40, Issue 18 message 6

Don,

OK a few points. First you have to determine if you are being assigned an
IP address. When Allstar boots it says the IP address to a radio. If you do
not have a radio connected you can go to the main menu and select item 9 -
select bash shell. You are then at the linux prompt - type in

ip a

Under the inet heading in wlan0 you should see an IP address. If it is a
valid IP address on your LAN (not 127.0.0.1) then you are being assigned an
IP address. If that is the case type

ping ucsd.edu

You should get responses. If so type control c to exit.

now type exit and go back to the main menu. Select item 11 to enter the
asterisk client. At the client type

iax2 show registry

It should show that your node is registered. type exit to leave the client.
Again select item 9 bash shell. At the Linux prompt type

ls /tmp

You should see a file called rpt_extnodes

Tell me where these items went wrong or not and I can further diagnose.
