First of all I am so sorry for your loss Dave. I still miss my Dad and he
passed in 2001. I feel your sadness.
Doug,
I am using the menu to setup WIFI.
The router is an Asus RT-N56U. I have other wireless devices that are
connected to it. Mainly cameras around the property.

Yes, latest greatest. RPi 3. USB Fob. Yes, using simpleusb. Tried it
three times this morning, with three different RPi's and 3 different
Fobs..... does it again and again.

Josh,
You have never said exactly what it does. If things are not set right in
simpleusb it can do strange things.
What is your radio and what settings are you setting/changing in simpleusb?

OK, just to confirm you are using the menu wifi setup? What is your router
model? Service provider? WIFI does work but I have seen cases where a
particular router may have problems. Are you getting an IP address back when
you boot using WIFI? If it is 127.0.0.1 then you are not connecting.
Anything else you probably are and there might be other issues.

Telemetry is control by the duplex type. Duplex 0 is no telemetry and duplex
1 has telemetry for simplex operation. Have you changed any other settings
in rpt.conf?

I have a newly imaged Pi3 connected to a Repeater Builder USB-RIM Lite
Connected to a Motorola CDM-750. This is a remote link for a local repeater
that doesn't have internet access at the site.
When I had the rpt file configured for duplex=0 the node functions perfectly
without any telemetry. When I set the file for 1 as soon as the repeater
transmits the node starts a cycle of transmitting a courtsey tone, dropping
the carrier, transmitting a courtsey tone, dropping the carrier, and so on.
It continues on and on until I change the option back to 0
I am hoping this is a simple setting I am missing.
Thank you in advance!
Justin
