Somehow this message was placed in another group so I am repeating it
here...
I just got my Raspberry PI3 Allstar simplex node up and running.??
Is there a way to disable the time announcement?
Yes. Comment the line in cron that says the time each hour -
crontab -e
# Do not remove the following line
# required for lsnodes and allmon
15 03 * * * cd /usr/local/sbin; ./astdb.php cron
#00 0-23 * * * (source /usr/local/etc/allstar.env ; /usr/bin/nice -19
/usr/bin/p..................
Add a # before the 00 0-23 line as shown above and save.
Is there a way to disable the node CW ID and if so is it legal, or does a
node have to ID every 10 minutes???
Thanks,? Chris - W6CS - 73.
The FCC requires a 10 minute ID. It can be CW 20 WPM or less or voice.
