Lee,
I have use both. I started with the one from Allstarlink and signed
up for the forum. At the time I was a new user and watch and tried to learn
how to set the program up. I would ask questions on the forum. I received
lots of help but I was still lost and frustrated. I looked elsewhere and
came across hamvoip. At first I still had problem but with Dougs help we
found it to be my internet connection. Since then Doug has not just helped
me but many others thru the forum. I have learned a lot and still do. The
difference above what Doug told you is that he has the ability to teach as
well as troubleshoot the problem with you. With the new 1.5 image, its a
breeze to setup and the update are very welcomed. My thanks goes to Doug,
Dave and all of the hamvoip users and forum users that makes this the best
image for Allstar Pi3. But then that´s just my thoughts. Welcome to Allstar
and I look forward to talking to you someday. 73s
