Neil,
I won't repeat some of the things you have already been told in private by
Dave but one point I want to make is that any changes regarding "graphical"
output are not mandatory and have nothing whatsoever to do with source
code. You are welcome to turn off the ADMIN menu and do things manually at
the command level as you have in the past. Commenting one line in the root
.bash_profile stops the ADMIN menu from auto-starting at boot. You still
have the option of running it manually if you desire by just typing
admin.sh at the Linux prompt. It also is a very simple matter to enter the
shell script from the menu. Just type 9 and return and you will be in the
shell and can type any Linux command.
