I have put out another version of the wx_condition.sh script. Just download
and copy over any existing script. I added the 'x' command which displays
the raw XML in less for debug purposes. You can scroll up/down and any
other less commands. 'q' to quit.
in /usr/local/sbin - wget https://hamvoip.org/downloads/wx_condition.tar.gz
- tar xvzf wx_condition.tar.gz - you can remove the tar file once you have
extracted.
Also there are a several missing weather condition voice files. Many have
equivalent or almost equivalent existing files. Here are a couple.
in the var/lib/asterisk directory copy (not move) rainy.gsm to
showers.gsm
cloudy.gsm to overcast.gsm
Technically cloudy means 50% or greater cloud cover and overcast means
total cloud cover. For our purposes either should work. I certainly think
of them as the same. Ther eis no requirement you do this as a missing sound
file is just not played.
Command Format:
wx_condition.sh <station-id> or -w<wunderID> <node> <mode>
mode = 'v' - view only, 'd' - debug - show all output
'p' or blank - play output to node, 'b' - both play and view
'x' - view raw xml in less
wx_condition.sh KPHL 40000 << play NWS to node 40000
wx_condition.sh -wKPAPHL12 40000 << play weatherunderground to node
40000
wx_condition.sh KPHL 40000 v << just view weather, no play
wx_condition.sh KPHL 40000 b << View and play weather to node
40000
wx_condition.sh KPHL 40000 d << debug, View all data and play
wx_condition.sh KPHL 40000 x << View raw xml in less (type 'q'
to exit)
