[arm-allstar] Kenwood TM-V71A as a remote base

Is anyone currently using one of these radios as a remote base? I saw some
messages in the archives concerning it, but doesn't look like anyone has
successfully implemented it yet.

Ideally, I'd like to interface it with one of the Remote Interface Boards,
but unsure of the 707 CAT commands in app_rpt will work with this radio? Is
Hamlib also or a more preferred option?

Would like to hear about your experiences if you have a setup like this.
