Hi John,
I also use remote-controlled Ethernet Power switches, allowing easy
power-cycling of hardware, etc....This strategy has saved having to
make tower trips on many occasions.

The radio does not "talk back" to Allstar with any status so other than
talking to someone at the other end you would have no way of knowing if it
is working. Is there not someone you can contact within range of the radio
to check it out?
