Yeah, the Analog_Bridge code appears to be functionally similar to the 
old D-Star AMBE dongle "helper" code. The way I'm doing this is by 
supporting the various CODECs natively in Asterisk. So, this is a general 
purpose solution, not just targeted at DMR, etc.

I (back)ported CODEC2 to Asterisk 1.4 several years ago, when evaluating 
very-low bandwidth solutions for another project...I just dredged up that 
old code, which still works.
