Allstar v1.5
Just loaded it up (PM-Saturday, 28JAN2017) on a new 32GB SD card on my RPi v3.0Ran the new Install using information I have from my existing RPi-v3.0 Node.Everything worked 100%.  "Out of the Box" (audio levels - 500) worked fine for me too.
New Tech Notes not 100% clear for folks "upgrading".  Don't use any old backup files from any existing RPi Node...I ran the install as if I had a "new node" install.  During the Install process...I was asked for my existing Node number and Password (you can find yours - about your existing Node) after logging into  AllStarLink.org and looking at your node information.
Also helpful:  Have a copy of your older/original/working  (usbradio.conf) file handy.  You'll be asked several questions during the install ..about your USB Interface, Radio, InvertPTT...and a bunch of other setting questions.  Your original  usbradio.conf  is your guide to answering these install questions correctly to get your Allstar v1.5 node working like your original RPiv3.0 node was working.
Nice work Doug and Team.  Am working my way through the new documentation now to add some custom features to my node.

*Announcing the hamvoip Allstar Version 1.5 release*

The release is now available for download from the https://hamvoip.org
website. It is available in two download versions. A windows executable
file which self extracts the image and an xz archive file for Linux and
other users. The image can also be extracted from the xz file using 7zip on
any platform. More download information is available at the web page

The archived files are noticeably smaller as the source is not in the image
and the compression is better.

There are many changes and improvements in this version. Please peruse the
README file for more information. Please *DO NOT* copy config files forward
from any prior version.

Starting with this release the code is in-place upgradeable. Once you
download the image and install it to your SD card future updates will be
downloaded over the Internet. There will be many updates and further
improvements to the code in the future.

Again please download and read the README file which is attached to this
email and also available at the download link. It includes important
information about the release.

We will be glad to answer any questions you may have. Have fun and we hope
you enjoy the new code.
